You 100% cannot swim in the actual "Basin". You can't swim. You would drown. But if you hike up the mountain there are spots to wade.
West Head BeachThere's rarely any waves making it perfect for swimming. The beach is surrounded by eucalyptus forest, and offers plenty of shade. At one end of West Head Beach, a large sandstone overhang provides shelter from sun (or rain).
Jenolan River walking track takes in amazing Blue Lake, waterfalls, bridges and Jenolan Caves' hydro-electric heritage. Also called Working Waters walk, it's great for bird watching and wildlife spotting. Swimming is prohibited in Blue Lake, as it's an important platypus habitat.

The Blue Mountains are absolutely full of incredible swimming holes. Whether it's at the bottom of a waterfall, in a gorge, or sublime pools surrounded by bush land - you're spoilt for choice when it comes to where to take a dip. Many can be reached via a short stroll, whilst a couple require a little more exertion.
By the time the Grose River has descended to the lower reaches of the world-famous Blue Mountains, it's sedate and meandering. Swimming here, you're right in the middle of classic Blue Mountains scenery.
If you take Wentworth Pass from the Valley of the Waters crossing below Britannia Falls it will take you directly to the base of Wentworth Falls, but it will take about an hour. To get to the crossing you need to start your walk at Conservation Hut and go straight down into the Valley of the Waters.

How do I get to Wedding Cake Rock by car? This is the easier option! The best way to get to Wedding Cake Rock by car is to drive to and park at Beachcomber Avenue (you can see the spot on this map). There's a gate at the very end of the street which is the start of the walk.

Getting there and parkingBundeena Drive to Marley walk is in the eastern precinct of Royal National Park. To get there: From Audley: Drive across Audley Weir and continue along Sir Bertram Stevens Drive for approximately 10km.
About Jibbon BeachJibbon Beach is a beautiful 700 metres long, north-facing strip of sand located east of Bundeena village, and facing the waters of Port Hacking.
Bundeena is a small village so it's a maximum ten minute walk from the southern streets or parking areas to a beach entrance. Street parking in most areas of Bundeena is legal except where signposted.
