The C-6 bus line is the only public transport connecting Alicante airport to the city centre. The line operates all day, all year round and buses depart every 30 minutes. The total trip to the central Luceros station takes around 25 minutes, while the price for a regular one way ticket is €3.85.

It is a very attractive city and has a lovely promenade and harbour area as well as a couple of nice beaches. Well, you'd certainly get all that in Alicante but it IS a city, rather than a resort-type town.
