Just insert your VoLTE support SIM card in the desired sim slot by default, the VoLTE will be active. In case, it's not working then, don't get panic. You can fix it by changing the network preferences by the “Network” option via “Settings.” To enable “VoLTE Calls” option make it turn on.
So the reason your phone says LTE is because you are in an area that has the fastest internet speeds. When you are in an area in which your phone says "4g" it's because you are using a cell phone tower that has the slower, HSPA, internet speed.
If that can't connect either then the problem is with the network, not the phone, and you need to check router settings or get on to your broadband provider. Forget the network, and reboot your phone. Once it's back up and running, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, and rejoin the network.
LTE, sometimes known as 4G LTE, is a type of 4G technology. Short for "Long Term Evolution", it's slower than "true" 4G, but significantly faster than 3G, which originally had data rates measured in kilobits per second, rather than megabits per second.
From the home screen, tap Settings. Tap Mobile or Cellular. Check Mobile Data is enabled (the switch will show green) and if it isn't, tap the switch to enable it. Check 4G is enabled (again, the switch will be green) and if not, tap the switch to turn this on.
If you're still not connected: Check 4G (or LTE) is enabled in your device's settings. Update your software. If you didn't get your phone from us, check your settings to see if 4G or LTE can be enabled.
LTE stands for Long Term Evolution, and currently 4G LTE is the most advanced option available. When your phone is connected to 4G LTE, you're getting the maximum data speed possible with your service, giving you superior download speeds and performance capability.
