Create an email message template
- In the message window, click the File tab.
- Click Save As.
- In the Save As dialog box, in the Save as type list, click Outlook Template.
- In the File name box, type a name for your template, and then click Save.
To enable Labs, log into Gmail, and click the gear in the upper right corner of the site, right below your picture. Go to Settings, then click on Labs in the top row of tabs. Once inside Labs, you'll get a list of the available Labs, with a brief explanation of what they do.
How to Set Up Canned Responses in Gmail
- Log in to Gmail, if necessary.
- Click the gear icon.
- Select.
- Find the Canned Responses option and enable it.
- Click compose, and type in the message you'd like to save as a canned response.
- Click the arrow at the bottom right of the window and select Canned Responses > New canned response.
Although Gmail does not have native support for stationary there are a couple options. A possible alternative, that I don't recommend, is forward your Gmail to a service that does support stationary such as Yahoo Mail.
Create an Email Template (for New Messages) in Outlook
- Create a new email message.
- Enter a Subject if you want to use one for your message template.
- Enter text, images, and other elements you want to appear in the email message template.
- Once you've set up your email template, select File > Save As.
- Enter a file name.
How to edit and modify Gmail templates in Google Drive
- Go to your Google Drive.
- Click on “My Drive” and open Gmail Templates folder:
- Right-click on the template you want to edit. Select Open with -> Edit HTML:
- The editor will open in a new browser tab:
- When you are done with editing click on Save and Close.
To access your starred templates, simply click on the “Compose” button to open up a new message window, then hit the small icon next to the “Send” button to access your email templates. There you'll see your list of starred templates alongside those you've most recently used.
Steps
- Log in to Gmail. Go to Gmail and sign in with your account.
- Set the basic HTML view as your default if available. If Google gives you this option, click on “Set basic HTML as default view”. Not every user will have that option.
The answer is yes. Infact every email you send through Gmail is a HTML email. Any style that you apply to your email using the editing options in Gmail uses HTML. For example, when you make text italic, it applies the HTML <i> word </i> to visibly render it in italics.

- Click Campaigns.
- Click Create.
- Select Email.
- Click "Custom code."
- Enter a name for your email that will help you find it in your account later and click Next.
- Select either the HTML or XHTML format option to compose your email campaign and click Next.
- Edit the information in the Message Header section.
Open a Gmail email from your Outlook mail list. Click File > Save As to open the Save As dialog window. Select HTML from the Save as type drop-down menu. Enter a file title, and choose a folder to save the email to.

- In Outlook, create a new message.
- With your cursor in the body of the email, click on Insert.
- Choose Attach File.
- Navigate to the HTML file on your computer.
- Click on the down arrow on the Insert button to open the options for inserting.
- Choose Insert as Text.
