After purchasing Stevens Pass out of financial default, Vail pumped millions into aging infrastructure by upgrading the Daisy and Brooks chairs at Stevens. Alterra invested comparatively less into capital improvements, but Crystal still gained a 200-vehicle parking lot and has plans for a new skier services building.

Stevens Pass Ski and Snowboard TerrainThe beginners' area is very good (11% beginners), the intermediate groomed trails are decent (54%), and the advanced runs (35%) can be good for mogul mongrels (a different species to a powder hound!).
The Mill Valley "backside" of the resort drops to a minimum elevation of 3,821 feet (1,165 m). Total skiable terrain includes 37 major runs covering 1,125 acres (4.55 km2).

Stevens Pass Sledding AreaThe Nordic Center is located just 6 miles east of the ski resort at the top of Stevens Pass. There are no rope tows so you'll be hiking up and down but that's a good way to stay warm up there. You'll also need to bring your own tube or sled.
