TVLine reports that Tom Welling, who first played Clark Kent back in 2001 in The WB series Smallville, will return to reprise his role as the Man of Steel in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event, which will air across five CW shows this December.
WHY did Superman have to give up his powers at all? Except, except that scene happened before he gave up his powers. The real reason given seems to be that he wanted to live a normal life, and not have to have his attention divided between his love of Lois and having to jet off at a moment's notice to save the world.
Smallville finally joined the Arrowverse in Crisis On Infinite Earths Part 2, and Tom Welling and Erica Durance's final moment was the ideal sendoff.
In Smallville, Lana is the love interest for Clark Kent, though, in the first season she is dating Whitney Fordman. By season two, with Whitney's departure, Lana and Clark begin to grow closer. Clark's dishonesty over the secrets he is hiding causes their relationship to end.
It might be that there is no such thing for Batman to use. Pre-Flashpoint, Luthor created synthetic Gold Kryptonite, but it only acted to temporarily remove Superman's powers. If Batman had access to this, it would likely be the ideal choice for subduing a temporarily evil Superman.
Travel between Earth-2 and the main Earth of Smallville was achieved through the Kryptonian mirror box, or through Jor-El's Fortress of Solitude.
Tom Welling is reprising his role as Clark Kent, but not in Smallville – and we have so many questions. The 42-year-old – who played Superman in the superhero prequel – will be returning to the role in upcoming Arrowverse crossover, Crisis On Infinite Earths.
6ft 2 ½ (189.2 cm) American actor best known for starring as Clark Kent in TV series Smallville. In film he appears in The Fog and Draft Day. In a Comics Continuum article, Sam Jones said I asked, "Hey, Tom, how tall are you?" Because I was waiting for him to say 5-7 and I could start laughing.
You can clearly see that even in his normal form Thanos is far stronger than Superman. This is the heart of Thanos' power. Superman does NOT beat him for strength. Thanos is every bit as strong as Supes, possibly stronger when augmented.
From this we can deduce that Batman's weakness is his psychological trauma from the past, specifically involving his parents and their death. Of course, we all know the real truth is that Batman has no weakness, so he was able to overcome Vandal Savage's plans and save the team from their own potential demises.
Superman has always beated or killed them once he start fighting seriously against them. The only ones, in this list, that are stronger than him, are Doctor Fate, the Spectre, White Lantern, Phantom Stranger, Lucifer Morninstar, Michael Demiurgos. This list is so wrong.
On Earth, Superman discovered he had great strength. This has to do with the fact that he was now on a planet with a much weaker gravitational pull than that of Krypton. Superman can perform such magnificent feats of strength because Earth's gravity doesn't affect him as much as Krypton's stronger gravity would.
Lex Luthor and Batman have both acquired GK in the past. In fact, the only characters who cannot use GK on Superman are Kara Zor-El (Supergirl), Krypto, and Chris Kent. There are other forms of Kryptonite that can defeat Superman.
It's radiation that makes Superman weak.
The prevailing theory in geekdom is that kryptonite can kill Superman because it disrupts his solar panel-like energy absorption. Without energy from the Sun, he weakens and eventually dies. If gamma rays were emitted by kryptonite, they would ionize Superman's cells.Superman was born on the planet Krypton and was given the name Kal-El at birth. As a baby, his parents sent him to Earth in a small spaceship moments before Krypton was destroyed in a natural cataclysm. His ship landed in the American countryside, near the fictional town of Smallville.
Real "kryptonite" (that is, sodium lithium boron silicate hydroxide) is not a scary, glowing mineral; rather, it is a boring-looking white, harmless substance.
On April 3, 2008, after seven seasons with the series, Gough and Millar announced that they were leaving Smallville. The developers thanked the cast and crew for their work, acknowledging that they never stopped fighting for what they saw as "their vision" of the show. A reason for their departure was not provided.
In his early acting career, Jones played Pete Ross on the first three seasons of the television series Smallville, based on the early years of Superman, after which he left before season 3's final episode, but returned as Pete Ross in the season 7 episode "Hero". He left the series to film Glory Road.

Clark becomes Superman after the Kents pass away and wins his job as a reporter for the Daily Star by delivering information he had gathered as Superman about a lynch mob at the county jail.
