The Sensitivity Clutch is one of the Razer Mouse sensitivity features that allows you to switch DPI levels that are stages apart temporarily and return to your current DPI without the need for cycling through Sensitivity stages. In a normal set-up, stages increment on default by 800 DPI going to 16000 DPI.
If your mouse doesn't have accessible DPI buttons, simply launch the mouse and keyboard control center, select the mouse you wish to use, select the basic settings, locate the mouse's sensitivity setting, and make your adjustments accordingly. Most professional gamers use a DPI setting between 400 and 800.
In printing, DPI (dots per inch) refers to the output resolution of a printer or imagesetter, and PPI (pixels per inch) refers to the input resolution of a photograph or image. If it is labeled as 250 PPI, that is an instruction to the printer to print it at a size of 4 × 4 inches.
A good speed to start out at is about 1 inch of vertical mouse movement to move your cursor from the top to the bottom of the screen. To get this speed you would set your mouse DPI to the vertical resolution of your monitor. If you use a 1080p monitor 1200 DPI is a good setting to start at.

Higher DPI means higher resolution. Resolution is not “size”, but it's often confused with it because higher resolution images are often bigger, but that doesn't necessarily have to be the case. Print: 300dpi is standard, sometimes 150 is acceptable but never lower, you may go higher for some situations.

Razer Synapse and click on your mouse.
You can adjust the DPI by using the Stage options:
- Toggle the “Sensitivity stages” switch on to enable the stages options.
- Stages can be edited to show 2 to 5 stages.
- Click on the desired stage level for your mouse sensitivity.
If Razer Synapse failed to start on your PC, the issue might be related to Razer device drivers. Thus, reinstalling both Razer device drivers and the Synapse software can fix the issue. Right-click the Start button and select the Device Manager to open the window in the snapshot directly below.
Default DPI stages are as follows: 800, 1800, 4500, 9000, and 16000. The DPI stages can be customized using Razer Synapse 3. Pull from the bottom of the side plate to remove it; and then replace it with another side plate of a different button configuration.

Let's start with some basics: higher mouse DPI means that the cursor will move further with less physical movement from your hands. In terms of FPS games, your character will turn slower at low DPI numbers and faster at high DPI numbers.
Regardless of how high the DPI of the most ultimate mouse can be (over 6000), people still say that a good DPI for gaming is 400, 800 or 1600 DPI as their most common setting, with most gamers still using the lower dpi of between 400 and 800.
The higher a mouse's DPI, the farther the cursor on your screen will move when you move the mouse. A mouse with a higher DPI setting detects and reacts to smaller movements. A higher DPI isn't always better. When playing the game normally without a zoomed-in sniper rifle, this high DPI may be too sensitive.
The quick answer is that higher resolutions lead to better scans for reproducing your images. 600 DPI scans produce much larger files but help ensure every detail in your print is recorded in digital form. If you want files that are easier to work with, 300 DPI scans would be a better choice.
