McDonald's started rolling out ordering kiosks at its US locations in 2015, and the chain hasn't looked back since: by 2020, most of its 14,000 locations will have kiosks installed. It plans to add the kiosks to 1,000 stores every quarter for the next two years, according to CNBC.
Dana Mattioli. McDonald's Corp. is buying Israeli digital startup Dynamic Yield Ltd., in a bid to improve in-store ordering and online marketing at the burger giant. As part of the deal announced Monday, McDonald's will pay more than $300 million for closely held Dynamic Yield, people familiar with the matter said.

A poll conducted by MSN found that 78% of customers are less likely to go into a restaurant that has a self-service kiosk. Even if it has the kiosks, most McDonald's restaurants still lets customers order at the counter. Easterbrook hopes to have self-serve kiosks in all U.S. locations by 2020.
