Disney PhotoPass Service is the system used at Walt Disney World Resort to take your pictures in the theme parks, on certain attractions and at some Character Dining locations. Memory Maker allows you to download all of those photos and videos for one price.
When you purchase Memory Maker, you'll have complete access to all of your PhotoPass photos for one low price. The Memory Maker option is the perfect way to preserve your memories forever. For these reasons, the Memory Maker option is definitely worth the price!
Disney does not offer options for permanent storing of photos or other digital content. Expired photos and other digital content will no longer be available. To view the expiration date of a photo, select the photo from the Media Gallery to preview the enlarged photo.
Overall, for us Memory Maker was absolutely worth it on our trip. We have tons of amazing photo memories from our vacation! If you will be bothered by masks in photos, won't make good use of the unlimited photos, or don't care about getting the whole group in the picture, it may not be right for you this time.
You absolutely may purchase Memory Maker after your trip and have access to all your photos and videos. You can purchase Memory Maker online, or in the My Disney Experience mobile app. In the app, scroll down to "My Photos". You should see an icon with "Buy Memory Maker".
Guests can interact and take pictures with the characters from a safe distance! As you will see from our photos there are plenty of magical photo opportunities with plenty of characters out in the park. You can read the health and safety guidelines for Disneyland here.
You can view your photos on Disney PhotoPass and on the My Disney Experience Mobile App! Select your favorites and add them to your cart. Visit My Downloads and download as many photos—as many times—as you wish.
To download all your photos at once, sign in to your Disney's PhotoPass account and select where your photos were taken. Once all your photos load up, you will click the “Download Photos†button on the right-hand side of the page, under the total of All Photos.
You can preview, purchase and download your photos on disneyland.com or with the Disneyland app. You may purchase individual downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos or get downloads of your photos with the purchase of the Disney PhotoPass+ One Week (includes photos captured during 7 consecutive days).
Disney World Photopass Photographers no Longer Using Guests Phones/Cameras. PhotoPass photographers will still be available to take your pictures but they're no longer able to use your phone or camera. So if guests want to have those photos, they will have to purchase them.
These rides use on-ride RFID technology in your MagicBand to automatically attach you to your photo. On all other attractions with on-ride photos, riders scan their MagicBands after getting off the ride at kiosks that display their images.
PhotoPass is a great option for guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. It takes away the stress of having to have a camera and your phone battery fully charged just to get pictures. Since the theme parks reopened there have been some changes to the PhotoPass system because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Character DiningYou can still dine with characters at Walt Disney World! Many of the restaurants are open again, including the character dining. The tables are spaced farther apart, and you still can't go and hug or get autographs, but you can still get distanced photos with some of your favorite characters.
You do not need to purchase a Memory Maker to have your photos taken by a PhotoPass Photographer or to purchase photos after your trip. You can also view your photos online from Disney PhotoPass. However, you will need to pay for each photo download individually.
Photopass is the photography system that Disney uses. It includes all photographers you'll find around the parks and Disney Springs. It includes the photos that you can get on certain rides. It also includes any photo studios at the parks.
Therefore, you'll want to pre-purchase Memory Maker at least 4 days in advance of your arrival at Walt Disney World. If you're already within those 4 days and you want all of your pictures included, you will have to choose the “starts immediately†option, which costs $20 more.
How Much Does Memory Maker Cost? Disney offers three different Memory Maker options: Memory Maker One Day – $69 – This option includes one day of Disney PhotoPass photos and videos. Your MagicBand enables you to travel lighter throughout your vacation. Use it to enter the parks, unlock your Disney Resort hotel room and buy food and merchandise. MagicBands add a touch of magic to your vacation by unlocking special surprises, personalized just for you, throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.
You are not required to have a MagicBand to use Memory Maker, but some attraction photos and video do rely on it to capture your memories so I recommend having one. If you are staying in a Disney Resort Hotel, everyone in your party will receive a complimentary MagicBand.
Off-site guests won't have MagicBands to use unless they are purchased separately (they are available to buy in the parks) but can use PhotoPass cards or park tickets to scan pics.
Memory Maker is a service that you book with your vacation where you get unlimited PhotoPass photos and ride photos during your trip. They are all added to your my Disney Experience account and can be downloaded, printed, or shared with family and friends.
For Memory Maker without a MagicBand, you will receive a PhotoPass card or your theme park admission card that photographers will scan to collect your photos. Other rides sync up to the RFID chip inside of the MagicBand during the ride and this is the only way to collect your photo.
Just link any Disney PhotoPass cards, Park Tickets and/or MagicBands you used during your visit, choose any photo in your account, and select “Activate.†This will activate your Memory Maker entitlement and remove all watermarks from your photos and other digital content.
