Using quick cast with indicator creates a slight delay before the ability is cast. If you just wanted to cast an ability as quick as possible, there is a short delay compared to casting the ability with normal quick cast.
yes it saves a lot of time clicking but back to your self preferences. I got a friend who's 5.7 still using normal cast, he is support. My 2 cents: Use it with Earth Spirit - and learn to play earth spirit only with quickcast. The cast speed is way faster, it makes a huge difference.
