Once there, Klaus force-fed Tyler his blood and snapped his neck, which killed him and put him in transition to become a hybrid in order to motivate Elena and the rest of the Mystic Falls Gang to figure out why none of the hybrids Klaus had turned were surviving their transitions.

Chris Hemsworth is too bankable and gives a great performance in this movie, so we cannot imagine them having any Extraction sequels not featuring him. Therefore, to keep the franchise going, Tyler needs to be alive. Yes, that was him standing there at the end of the movie. There's no way he survived.

Extraction was set in Dhaka, Bangladesh and predominantly shot in India and Thailand with a host of Indian talent in Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Randeep Hooda and Priyanshu Painyuli. Extraction, which started streaming from April 24, is expected to draw 90 million viewers in four weeks of its release, according to Netflix.
While the movie is set in Bangladesh, Extraction was mostly filmed in India and Thailand. The fight sequences that took in the middle of that bustling market were filmed in the Indian cities of Ahmedabad and Mumbai, while some other scenes were shot in common locations in Thailand that have been used in films before.
There are a couple of ways to read this ending. The most obvious one is that Rake somehow survived because he's a badass warrior. Faking his own death makes sense as he pissed off the entire Dhaka underworld. It also represents a rebirth of sorts, as Ovi gave him a reason to live again.
