Simply go to the Resolution Center and select "The buyer asked to cancel the order, or there's an issue with the buyer's address." If the buyer has paid for the item, they will receive a refund and you will receive a Final Value Fee refund. IMPORTANT: eBay states that Buyer Requested Cancelations are monitored.
The seller isn't required to cancel and in all fairness, bad buyer behavior should be dealt with through through an unpaid item case. Cancelling gives the buyer a free pass. You should have asked all questions before you bid.
Assuming that fails, you're going to want to report the problem to eBay, as well as PayPal (if that's how you paid), so everything is official and the long resolution process can begin. Make sure you do this within 45 days of payment and also be sure your purchase is covered by eBay's buyer protection policies.

Re: seller canceled an order after I paid in full
eBay has no legal way to force a seller to ship or a buyer to pay. With Buy It Now, you pay a fixed price and buy the item immediately, or you can bid on an item and try to win it for a lower price in an auction. Enter your search term to display live search results.
ebay charges 10% FVF on the transaction: item price + shipping. These fees are charged to your account and you are billed either the 15th or 30th of each month. You can select to cancel all the current bids and end the listing. You will be charged a penalty equal to 10% of the highest bid.
If your Buy It Now price is $0.99 or higher, you pay eBay $0.50 per listing. Here's a summary of eBay insertion fees. * If you do not have an eBay Store, you may list up to 100 auction listings in a month for free as long as your starting price is between $0.01 and $0.99, and you have no reserve price.
Hover the curser over MY EBAY ~ a list of options will drop down and click on SELLING ~ Scroll down to ACTIVE SELLING ~ then click on MORE OPTIONS next to each item on the right hand side of the screen ~ a list of options will drop down and click on REMOVE AUTOMATIC RELIST.
There can be fees to end a listing early. You get one free cancellation per calendar year of a listing that has bidders. After that you'll pay the FVF on the highest bid showing at the time you cancel. And if a listing with bids has less than 12 hours left, you can only end it to sell to the highest bidder.
eBay makes it clear that ending your auction early does not relieve you of the obligation to sell this item to the highest bidder. To relieve your obligation, you must first cancel all the bids, and then end the auction, and you'll be charged a Final Value Fee for the amount of the highest bid.
You can't sell on amazon and ebay and sell it cheaper on ebay. It has to be lower price on Amazon. Your items CAN be priced the SAME on both platforms. They can't be higher on Amazon, but they do not have to be lower.
Locate the item you wish to remove on the My eBay page. Click the "More actions" link to the right of the relevant item and choose "End item" from the drop-down menu. Select one of the four options to indicate why the listing is being removed. Click "End My Listing" to remove the item from sale.
Here's how:
- Go to Purchase history - opens in new window or tab and find the order you want to cancel.
- From the More actions dropdown, select Contact seller.
- Choose Request to cancel this order, then Contact the seller.
- Explain to the seller why you need to cancel, and select Send.
Ebay won't do anything to confirm your reason for canceling an order as a seller so as long as you pick one of the reasons ebay allows, you can cancel the order as a seller for any reason. It won't be a problem unless you make a habit out of it. As a buyer, you need to ask the seller to cancel.
Simply go to the Resolution Center and select "The buyer asked to cancel the order, or there's an issue with the buyer's address." If the buyer has paid for the item, they will receive a refund and you will receive a Final Value Fee refund.
