Tesla offers no discounts or negotiations. The price you see is the price you pay. However, there may be some "inventory" models with a few thousand miles on them (used as "loaners" at service centers and/or customer test drives) that offer a small decrease in price — check at your local Tesla store.

On the Tesla website, you can schedule a contactless test drive at your local dealership. You need a valid driver's license and insurance to get behind the wheel. Pick a day and time that works for you, and get ready to drive! The test drives are generally 30 minutes.

In order of price, Tesla offers five consumer car models: 3, S, X, Y and the upcoming second-generation Roadster, which you can reserve now. Neither price includes taxes or registration fees.
Available Payment Methods
- Lease. You can lease a Tesla over the terms of 24 to 36 months.
- Loan. You can purchase a Tesla by securing a loan with a Tesla financier or a third-party lender over the terms of 36 to 72 months.
- Cash. You can also purchase a Tesla by paying upfront in cash for your new vehicle.
In contrast, Teslas hold their value at an almost unheard-of level. In fact, data indicate that the Tesla Model 3 can retain its resale value over 5 times better than all other electric cars and about 4 times better than all cars in general.
Can I finance with my own bank or credit union? Yes. In order to apply third-party financing to your purchase, Tesla requires: the name of the funding institution.
If you choose to buy your Tesla in cash, all you need to do is pay-in-full on your day of delivery. You could also look into leasing. Regardless, if you choose to finance, you have a couple of options. You could also just give your bank a call and request auto financing or stop by your local credit union.
Tesla does not accept payment in form of credit card for anything other than the initial reservation and the order fee.
This all means many Tesla shoppers are now hitting the used market. Used Teslas tend to be priced high, and with the rising demand, as well as lack of new vehicles readily available, chances are they'll climb even more.

If you want to test drive a Tesla before you buy, your best bet is to call your local Tesla store and set up a test drive appointment ahead of time. For some mall stores, on low-traffic days, you may be able to walk in and test drive a Tesla, but don't count on it. Calling ahead is a good plan.
