If you're getting phone calls from unknowninternational numbers, you can block calls by countrycode to stop the nuisance. You will not receive anycall from the country that you've blocked. Butcallers often call their targets from different numbers andyou will get tired of blocking calls from hundreds ofnumbers.
FCC May Allow Carriers to Block Robocalls FromSpoofed Numbers. The FCC later this month will consider aproposal that would allow carriers to block robocalls thathave a spoofed caller ID. Some carriers will identifynumbers that have blocked caller ID, but blockingcalls with spoofed numbers is a differentanimal.

once you have blocked someone you can notcall or text them and you can not receive anymessages or calls from them either. you will have to unblockthem to contact them. You can still call or text anumber even if you have added it to your blockedlist.
MacRumors decided to figure it out. First off,when a blocked number tries to send you a textmessage, it won't go through, and they will likely never seethe “delivered” note. On your end, you'll seenothing at all. As far as phone calls are concerned, a blocked callgoes directly to voice mail.
