You can opt out of the Relevant Mobile Advertising and Business and Marketing Insights programs by visiting your privacy choices page in MyVerizon or calling 866.211. 0874. You also have choices about how Verizon Media uses information for advertising purposes.
While Contacts-only Verizon Cloud storage is free, 1 TB of storage is $9.99 per month and 500 GB storage is $5 per month after a free one month trial. If you need more space, you can upgrade to a larger storage plan. If you have an Android Phone, Google is offers the first 15 GB per month for free.
If you don't want an app to act as the default for anything, you can clear all default settings for it. To do this, head to Settings > Apps & notifications > See all X apps and select the app you'd like to remove defaults for. Once you're on the app page, expand the Advanced section and tap Open by default.
In my view, Verizon Cloud is unnecessary for most people. Even if you are on one a plans that includes Verizon Cloud at no charge, I still don't recommend using the service. Android and iOS both have backup options built in. My experience with the Android backup feature has been excellent.
Tap the Menu icon in the Verizon Messages (Messages+) app. Tap Settings. Tap Account. Tap Delete My Account.
To delete photos/videos:
- Select All (lower-left) then tap the Contextual Menu icon (upper-right).
- Tap Select Content.
- Tap the desired picture(s) or video(s) then tap the Contextual Menu icon. Items are selected when highlighted in gray and a checkmark appears.
- Tap Delete.
- When prompted with 'Delete Files', tap YES.
Verizon Messages is a text messages app that lets you integrate your messages across compatible devices. So, if you have an Android phone, a tablet, and a PC, then you can sync all your messages using the app. Message+ enables you to make and receive calls on tablets.
If you disable an app it completely shuts that app off. This means that you can't use that app anymore and it won't appear in your app drawer so the only way to use is it to enable it again. Force stop, on the other hand, just stops the app from running.
When you disable app, they go into slumber. They won't notify you and won't do anything in the background. So if you don't use an app you should disable them. And Uninstall them if you will never use them in future.
In the app's Application info menu, tap Storage and then tap Clear Cache to clear the app's cache. To clear cached data from all apps, go to Settings > Storage and tap Cached data to clear the caches of all the apps on your phone.
Delete old text messagesYou'll be surprised to see how much storage space your text messages use on your smartphone. You may not even realize those messages are being saved to your phone. Don't worry, you can delete them. Be sure to delete messages with photos and videos first – they chew up the most space.
There are a number of ways to delete Android apps. But the easiest way is to open the Google Play Store app, then tap the three-lined menu > My apps & games and tap on an app. From here, simply tap uninstall. If you accidentally delete an app, just reinstall it.

As it has already been said: the main difference is that disabling an app simply marks it unavailable (which can easily be reverted), while removing physically removes the app and all connected data from the device.
How to delete apps from your Android device
- Open Settings on your device.
- Tap on Apps or Application manager.
- Tap on the app you want to remove. You may need to scroll to find the right one.
- Tap Uninstall.
As mentioned before, the Google Play Store cannot be uninstalled, but it can be disabled. And when that happens, its icon will disappear from your phone, and you will not be able to access it. Step 2: On some phones, you will find all the installed apps directly. If that's not the case, go to All apps.
Account managers and account owners would be able to view text/call logs which include the number and time the call/text was made. If you have the login info for someone's MyVerizon userid AND they are signed up for Verizon Messages, they would be able to view the text content for that line.
Navigate to the Verizon wireless website and navigate Sign In (upper-right) > My Account. Enter the User ID or the 10-digit mobile number, the password then click Sign in. To register, click Register then follow the step-by-step instructions.

You can use a reward you've claimed through the My Verizon app: Tap Use Rewards at the top of the screen.
When you contact Verizon wireless Customer Service by phone or Chat about your account, your 4-digit Account PIN verifies your identity. When you sign in online or in our app to manage your account, you use your My Verizon password.
Notes: The My Verizon app is usually pre-installed on the device; navigate: Apps > Verizon folder > My Verizon.

Five tools for dealing with bloatware on your Android device

Unnecessary Mobile Apps You Should Remove from Your Android Phone
- Cleaning Apps. You do not need to clean your phone often unless your device is hard pressed for storage space.
- Antivirus. Antivirus apps seem to be everybody's favorite.
- Battery Saving Apps.
- RAM Savers.
- Bloatware.
- Default Browsers.
Settings > Apps > Downloaded, select the app. For a user-installed app there should be a "disable" button (not all stock apps have it, which I think is what Fox was thinking of, but for a user app it should be there).
Remove Apps That Phone Won't Let You Uninstall
- On your Android phone, open Settings.
- Navigate to Apps or Manage Applications and select All Apps (may vary depending on your phone's make and model).
- Now, look for the apps that you want to remove. Can't find it?
- Tap the app name and click on Disable. Confirm when prompted.
Do any of the following: Remove an app from the Home Screen: Touch and hold the app on the Home Screen to open a quick actions menu, tap Remove App, then tap Move to App Library to keep it in the App Library, or tap Delete App to delete it from iPhone.
Use Android's “Free up space” tool
- Go to your phone's settings, and select “Storage.” Among other things, you'll see information on how much space is in use, a link to a tool called “Smart Storage” (more on that later), and a list of app categories.
- Tap on the blue “Free up space” button.
Uninstall/Disable the bloatware
- On your Android phone, go to “Settings -> Manage Applications.”
- Find the app that you want to uninstall and tap on it.
- If there is an “Uninstall” button, tap to uninstall the app.
Uninstall an app on a Samsung device
