Your PS4, Xbox Live, PC and Nintendo Switch Fortnite accounts can now be unified. Eventually, Sony relented and opened up multiplayer cross-play between PS4 players, and gamers on Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch -- but the accounts were still separated.
If you have an existing game on your Xbox One console but you haven't created an Epic Games account online, go to Epicgames.com and click “sign in.” When the site asks whether or not you play Fortnite, you'll select “Yes.” Choose the Xbox icon, and a pop-up window will ask you to sign into your Xbox Live account.

what does that mean? Starting on April 11, once you link your Xbox account and Epic ID together, you'll be unable to link a different account to that console. You can unlink your accounts at any time but won't be able to link a new account that device.
Here's how the process works:
- Go to the Fortnite Account Merge website here.
- Select the platform for your Primary Account.
- Sign in with the proper PlayStation Network, eShop or Xbox Live credentials.
- You'll be asked to input a short code that will be sent to the email address tied to that account.
Locating your Epic Account ID on the web
Click on Sign-in in the top right corner. Sign into your Epic Games account. Hover over your Epic Games account name and click on Account. Your account ID is listed at the top of the Personal Details page.Unfortunately, as of May 6, 2019, the merge account function is no longer available. That means you'll have to settle on one account to use as your primary one and risk relegating your earned (and paid for) content to a secondary account. You can find out more here.
Unlinking your Fortnite account from PlayStation
You will lose just about everything connected to your account as you can not carry it from one console to another. Platform Locks on Fortnite cannot be circumvented, even by replacing one connected account with another.We wanted to give everyone a heads up that the Account Merge feature will be coming to an end on May 6, two days before Season 9 begins. Go to the Connected Accounts tab and click Connect on the Secondary console you want to link (in this case Switch). When you link a new platform, you will be taken to a sign-in page for that console. Once you've logged in to the console, the accounts for your Primary and Secondary accounts will now be linked!
Choose the Xbox icon to sign into your account using your Xbox Gamertag and credentials. Once logged in, you should see your Epic Name displayed in the top right-hand corner of the web page, click on your name and go to "Account".
