Universal Orlando Bag Policy
All guests must pass through metal detection at the security hub before you reach Universal CityWalk or the theme parks. Bags, purses and backpacks are subject to X-ray and/or additional inspection. Suitcases and bags with wheels are not allowed.Wear comfortable attire i.e. shorts and t-shirt. Wear sandals or flip-flop. Avoid jeans, jacket, and shoes. Reach there as early as possible.
All rides and shows are free after your purchase a ticket for each member of your group.
Take Snacks and Meals
Coolers and large carriers are prohibited, but guests are allowed to carry in soft-sided insulated bags smaller than 8.5 inches wide, 6 inches high and 6 inches deep. Bottled water is also allowed, as is baby food and formula.Express Pass prices start from $30 and $50.
It can be purchased online ahead of time through Universal or at the parks themselves. These are per day, and you have the option of skipping the virtual lines at select rides and attractions, or you can pay more with an Express Plus pass to skip the virtual lines at all rides and attractions inside the water park.
One Park per Day Tickets
These are your basic tickets that allow you to visit either Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure, or the Volcano Bay water park. Within that day you may leave and reenter, but you cannot switch parks.water is available for free when you ask for a cup of water; however there is also new self serve Coke machines located in Universal Studios/Island of Adventure.
You may bring in any food items. No glass containers are allowed, and the cooler or container needs to be soft sided. over a year ago. I have never taken in sandwiches but I have taken a bag full of snacks.
You can also prepare sandwiches or other meals on your own, then bring them into the park for a picnic. Keep cooler sizes small (they have to fit in Disney's lockers) and refrain from including any glass containers with meals you bring in.
Bottled water at the Walt Disney World Resort is not free, but tap water is. There are several water fountains found throughout each park, and free tap water is available at all quick service locations. Ice is also provided upon request, either in a cup of water or by itself.
At Universal Studios, it's pointless to pack your bag with items you plan to enjoy while you're waiting in the queue for rides. Most rides prohibit bags entirely. Free lockers are available at the entrance to all such rides so you can stash your belongings for the duration.
If you're looking at buying a memento then you can purchase a souvenir character cup. These Universal Studios cups do not include free refills. In Orlando refills are $0.99 + tax. At the Universal Studios in Orlando, the character refillable cups are $15.99 + tax.
Although it has fewer rides and is smaller in scale than Disneyland, the general admission is just as costly [between $105 to $116 for 1-day]. But to get in the shorter line you need a Universal Express pass which is between $179 to $269! That gets you in front of the line once for each ride and show. It was worth it.
