Watching It Chapter Two without watching It would be like watching only Part 2 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It's a two part adaptation of a single book so you should definitely watch the first half.

The death of Eddie, who is played by James Ransone and Jack Dylan Grazer, is closer to the end of It: Chapter 2. Eddie is stabbed in the chest by Pennywise, who has taken the form of a giant spider, as he checks on Bill Hader's Richie. Eddie then dies from blood loss.

Even though "It Chapter Two" was filmed only two years after the first film, some of the child actors had grown up so much that de-aging technology was required for their scenes in the sequel.
